Account Information: When you register, we collect your name and email address.

User-Submitted Content: Price reports, photos, property listings, transport listings, and comments you submit are stored and may be displayed publicly within the platform.

Usage Data: We collect anonymized analytics such as pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns to improve the app.

Device & Location Data: Browser type, operating system, and approximate location (country/city-level, via IP address) may be collected automatically to deliver localized content — including relevant language, currency, and regional market data.

Language & Currency Preferences: Your selected language and currency preferences are stored locally on your device and, if you are logged in, associated with your account to deliver a personalized experience.

AI Interaction Data: Prompts you send to the AI assistant may be processed by our AI provider to generate responses. These are not stored beyond the current session for training purposes without your consent.

Wallet Data: SokoData does not collect, store, transmit, or have access to your wallet's private keys, seed phrases, or recovery phrases. All wallet data is stored exclusively on your local device. See Section 9 for full details.

Donation & Support Data: If you donate to SokoData, we store your name, email, donation amount, selected network, transaction hash, and any optional message you provide, to verify and acknowledge your contribution. Wallet private keys are never collected.

Push Notification Data: If you enable push notifications, we store your browser/device push subscription endpoint and encryption keys to deliver alerts you opt into. You can disable these at any time.

We use your data to:

• Display and personalise community-submitted market prices in your language and currency
• Send price drop alerts and notifications you opt into
• Calculate reputation scores and leaderboard rankings
• Detect your country to auto-select relevant regional data (the world, diaspora markets, etc.)
• Power AI-driven translations of chat messages, comments, and notifications
• Improve and maintain app features, performance, and reliability
• Prevent spam, fraud, and platform misuse
• Monitor for security threats and suspicious activity on the platform (not on-chain wallet activity)

SokoData uses your IP address to automatically detect your country and set an appropriate default language and currency. This detection is performed via a third-party IP geolocation API (ipapi.co). No precise GPS location is collected without your explicit permission.

You can override any auto-detected language or currency at any time via Profile. Your manual preferences take priority and are saved locally on your device.

SokoData offers real-time AI translation for chat messages, community comments, notifications, and AI assistant responses. When you request a translation, the relevant text is sent to our AI processing service (powered by large language models). Translated results are cached locally on your device to avoid repeated processing.

We do not store translation requests on our servers beyond what is needed to deliver the response.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Price submissions, listings, and community posts you make are visible to all app users. Your email address is never shown publicly — only your display name.

We may share anonymized, aggregated data (e.g. price trends, regional demand signals) for research or public interest purposes.

We use trusted third-party services including CoinGecko (cryptocurrency data), ipapi.co (IP geolocation), AI model providers, and blockchain RPC node providers (for wallet connectivity to public blockchain networks). Each is bound by their own privacy policies.

Prices, photos, listings, and comments you submit are public contributions to the SokoData community. By submitting, you grant SokoData a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display and distribute this content within the platform.

You can request deletion of your submissions by contacting us. Historical price data may be retained in anonymised, aggregated form for market trend analysis.

SokoData uses browser local storage (not traditional cookies) to save your preferences — including language, currency, theme (dark/light mode), recently viewed items, cached market data, and encrypted wallet configuration. No tracking cookies are placed on your device for advertising purposes.

SokoData includes an integrated SokoData Hot Wallet — a self-custodial, multi-chain cryptocurrency wallet. By design, this wallet is non-custodial, meaning SokoData does not hold, manage, or have any access to your funds.

The following disclosures apply to all users of the SokoData Hot Wallet:

• Private keys & seed phrases: Your recovery phrase (seed phrase) and private keys are generated locally on your device. SokoData does not generate, transmit, store, view, or recover these credentials under any circumstances.
• No custody: SokoData does not hold, control, or have access to any cryptocurrency or digital assets in your wallet. You are the sole custodian of your funds.
• User responsibility: You are solely responsible for securely backing up your recovery phrase. If your recovery phrase is lost, SokoData cannot restore your wallet or recover your funds. There is no account recovery option.
• Wallet addresses: Blockchain wallet addresses are generated locally and derived from your private key. SokoData does not store your wallet address on our servers unless you explicitly use platform features that require it.
• Multi-chain support: The wallet supports multiple blockchain networks. Switching networks or sending transactions on different chains is the user's responsibility.
• Third-party RPC providers: Wallet connectivity to blockchain networks may rely on third-party blockchain RPC node providers (e.g. public Ethereum, BSC, or other network nodes). SokoData does not control these providers and is not responsible for their availability or policies.
• No financial advice: SokoData does not provide financial, investment, or trading advice. Cryptocurrency values are volatile. Use the wallet at your own risk.

When you initiate a transaction using the SokoData Hot Wallet, the transaction is broadcast directly to the relevant public blockchain network. The following important disclosures apply:

• Irreversibility: Blockchain transactions are irreversible once confirmed. SokoData cannot cancel, reverse, or retrieve any transaction you initiate. Always verify recipient addresses and amounts before confirming.
• Public visibility: All blockchain transactions — including wallet addresses, amounts, and timestamps — are permanently recorded on public blockchains and may be viewed by anyone using a blockchain explorer. This is a fundamental property of public blockchains and is outside SokoData's control.
• Network fees: Blockchain transactions may require network gas fees paid in the native currency of the respective network. These fees are not collected by SokoData.
• Transaction risk: SokoData is not liable for any loss of funds resulting from incorrect transaction details, network failures, smart contract bugs, or user error.
• Optional analytics: SokoData may optionally use blockchain analytics tools to monitor for known fraudulent addresses or security threats. This is done to protect users and does not involve storing or accessing your private keys.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days. Price submissions may be retained indefinitely in anonymised form for historical market data purposes.

Wallet data (private keys, seed phrases) is never stored on SokoData servers. Deletion of the app from your device will remove locally stored wallet data permanently, with no recovery option.

Depending on your country of residence, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR for EEA users, and equivalent national laws). These may include the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and personal data
• Object to or restrict certain types of processing
• Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)
• Opt out of non-essential communications at any time

SokoData serves users globally. Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence. Where data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure adequate protections are in place consistent with applicable law.

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and secure API key management to protect platform data.

For the SokoData Hot Wallet specifically:

• Your recovery phrase and private keys are never transmitted to SokoData servers
• Wallet data is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage
• You should never share your seed phrase or private key with anyone — including SokoData support
• SokoData staff will never ask you for your recovery phrase
• Hot wallets carry inherent security risks. For large holdings, consider using a hardware wallet
• Keep your device secure with a strong screen lock and updated OS to reduce risk of wallet compromise
• Rooted or jailbroken devices: Using the SokoData Hot Wallet on a rooted or jailbroken device significantly increases the risk of unauthorized access to your wallet data. SokoData strongly advises against using the wallet on such devices and accepts no liability for any resulting loss of funds

No method of transmission over the internet or local storage is 100% secure. Use the wallet feature at your own risk and only store amounts you are comfortable managing independently.

SokoData is strictly intended for users aged 18 years and older. By registering or using the platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.

SokoData is not directed at, and may not be used by, anyone under the age of 18. This restriction applies to all features of the platform including, but not limited to: cryptocurrency data and market intelligence, the non-custodial multi-chain wallet, property marketplace listings, community price submissions, and AI-powered financial insights.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 18 has registered or used SokoData, please contact us immediately at privacy@sokodata.app. We will promptly review and delete any such account and associated data.

Users found to be under 18 will have their accounts suspended immediately pending verification. This policy is in place to comply with applicable law, Google Play Store policies, and to ensure responsible access to financial and market intelligence tools.

SokoData provides market data, community tools, and wallet infrastructure on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee the accuracy of community-submitted prices or third-party cryptocurrency data. We are not liable for any financial loss resulting from the use of wallet features, blockchain transactions, or reliance on market data displayed on the platform.

Cryptocurrency investments carry significant risk, including total loss of funds. Nothing on SokoData constitutes financial, legal, or investment advice.

SokoData is NOT a licensed financial advisor, broker, investment firm, or cryptocurrency exchange. We do not offer investment advice, asset management services, or financial planning. Market data and AI-generated insights are provided for informational and educational purposes only.

For wallet features: SokoData is non-custodial. We do not store, control, or have access to your private keys or seed phrases. You are solely responsible for securing your private keys and for any losses arising from misplacement, loss, or exposure of your wallet credentials.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our platform or applicable law. We will notify users of significant changes via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of SokoData after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
